Manchester, NJ – A Manchester Township man has filed a lawsuit against the local board of education and a school bus driver, alleging negligence in a crash that left him with serious injuries. The complaint stems from a March 2025 collision at a residential intersection, where the plaintiff claims the bus driver failed to stop at a posted sign.
According to the filing, Yitzchok Munk was driving near the intersection of Grinnell Avenue and Bismarck Street around 3:55 p.m. on March 3 when a school bus operated by Raymond Champion entered the intersection.
The lawsuit alleges Champion “entered the intersection… without stopping at a posted stop sign,” resulting in a collision that caused significant damage and injuries.

The complaint states that responding investigators determined the bus driver was at fault and issued a summons for failure to stop, in violation of New Jersey traffic law.
Munk alleges he was “violently tossed about” in the crash and suffered injuries leading to pain, disability, lost wages, and continued medical care.
The lawsuit also claims the Manchester Township Board of Education is liable because the driver was acting within the scope of his employment at the time of the crash.
