Maple Avenue burglary leads to felony arrest in Wellsville

A Maple Avenue incident ended with a Wellsville woman facing felony burglary and criminal mischief charges before being taken to the Allegany County Jail, police said.

WELLSVILLE, N.Y. — A Wellsville woman was arrested Friday in connection with a Maple Avenue incident that resulted in felony burglary and criminal mischief charges, according to the Wellsville Police Department.

Police said 34-year-old Serina M. Hunt, of Wellsville, was charged with third-degree burglary, a Class D felony, and second-degree criminal mischief, also a Class D felony.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Maple Avenue.

Following her arrest, Hunt was processed and transported to the Allegany County Jail, where she was held pending arraignment in CAP Court.

She is scheduled to appear in Wellsville Village Court at a later date.

The charges are allegations, and Hunt is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
