Maryland woman stunned after discovering $150K Powerball ticket two months later
SILVER SPRING, Md. — A Maryland woman was shocked to discover she had been holding a winning Powerball ticket worth $150,000 for more than two months without realizing it.
Kanlayanee Supho of Silver Spring bought the ticket for the Dec. 10, 2025 Powerball drawing when the jackpot had climbed to an estimated $930 million.
She purchased the ticket at the Wegmans store located at 1835 Capital One Drive South in McLean, Virginia.
Supho’s ticket matched four of the first five numbers plus the Powerball number. That combination normally wins $50,000, but she added the Power Play option for an extra dollar, which tripled the prize to $150,000.
The winning numbers for that drawing were 10, 16, 29, 33, 69, with a Powerball of 22.
More than two months passed before Supho realized she had won. While visiting the same Wegmans store where she purchased the ticket, she noticed a sign announcing that a $150,000 Powerball-winning ticket had been sold there.
Curious about who the lucky winner might be, she checked her ticket and discovered the prize belonged to her.
The ticket was generated using the Easy Pick option, which randomly selects numbers. Supho said she does not yet have specific plans for the winnings.
Powerball drawings take place at 10:59 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The odds of matching all six numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, while the odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 25.
