Hightstown, NJ – A Crossword Bonanza ticket sold at a local food store in Hightstown delivered a $400,000 payday to a Mercer County resident, according to New Jersey Lottery officials.

The ticket was purchased at Krauser’s Food Store at 119 Franklin Street and represents the first of three top prizes in the $20 Crossword Bonanza game. The win was logged on Oct. 15.

At $20 a ticket, Crossword Bonanza is among the Lottery’s most popular premium games, offering both frequent small wins and rare, life-changing jackpots. This win is the first of its tier to be claimed.

Since its start in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery has contributed over $34.6 billion to the state. Current profits go toward the public employee pension system under a 30-year agreement.
