Retired Amtrak worker from Middle River wins $100000 in Maryland Lottery Holiday Raffle
Middle River, MD — A retired Amtrak employee from Baltimore County was stunned to learn that a Maryland Lottery ticket he almost didn’t buy ended up winning him $100,000 in the Holiday Raffle.
The longtime lottery player, who typically plays daily games like Pick 3 and Pick 5, purchased the $20 raffle ticket at Eddie B’s Market, located at 1006 Wilson Point Road in Middle River. It was one of only ten tickets drawn statewide for a six-figure prize on January 2.
The winner had previously claimed several notable prizes in Pick games but said this win brought a different level of excitement. After scanning his ticket and confirming the results, he knew the win was real.
He plans to use the money to support his family and donate to a charitable cause.
