Manhattan Powerball ticket hits $50,000 prize in latest drawing
Manhattan, NY — A Powerball ticket sold at a Midtown location turned into a $50,000 win following Wednesday night’s drawing, placing a Madison Avenue retailer on the New York Lottery’s latest list of prize-winning sales.
The third-prize-winning ticket was sold at Kiritkumar Prajapati, located at 300 Madison Avenue in Manhattan. According to the New York Lottery, the ticket matched enough numbers in the April 22 Powerball drawing to secure a $50,000 prize.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with players selecting numbers from a pool of 1 through 69, along with a separate Powerball number from 1 through 26.
The New York Lottery continues to report prize-winning tickets across the state following each drawing, with retailer locations identified as part of its public disclosure process.
Officials also noted the lottery’s ongoing contribution to education funding, reporting $3.6 billion directed to public schools during the fiscal year. Resources for gambling-related assistance remain available through the state’s HOPEline and support services.
