MISSOURI – Brandon Corbin King, 32, has been sentenced to four life sentences for the New Year’s Eve 2020 murders of Stephanie Plumb and her 13-year-old son, Dylan Moore, and for the assault of Plumb’s two other children. Circuit Judge Kaiti Greenwade handed down the sentences following King’s guilty plea.
King, initially set for trial next year, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault resulting in serious physical injury, along with four counts of armed criminal action. The court has imposed two life sentences without the possibility of parole for the murders, two life sentences with the possibility of parole for the assaults, and four additional 15-year sentences for the armed criminal action charges.
In a symbolic move, Judge Greenwade ordered that these sentences be served consecutively. This decision underscores the gravity of King’s crimes and the court’s intention to ensure that King remains incarcerated.
Prosecutors had previously indicated their intention to seek the death penalty if King was found guilty at trial, a plan made moot by his guilty plea.
