Morning stop reveals stash inside car in Severn

Traffic stop in Severn leads to gun and drug arrests

Severn, MD – A mid-morning traffic stop in Severn uncovered a loaded handgun with an altered serial number and multiple suspected narcotics, leading to the arrest of two people inside the vehicle.

The stop occurred Saturday around 11:50 a.m. near Pioneer Drive and Severn Orchard Circle involving a gray 2021 Ford Fusion. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded 9mm Taurus handgun with an obliterated serial number.

Officers also recovered suspected crack cocaine, heroin or fentanyl, and amphetamine pills. Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody and charged.

Those arrested were identified as Nyzhea Emoni Shakur Green, 27, of Glen Burnie, and Sean Lamont Cormier Jr., 34, of Pasadena.
