Multiple Injuries Reported in Route 70 Crash

Manchester Township, NJ — A significant traffic incident occurred on Thursday afternoon involving three vehicles at the intersection of State Highway 70 and Beckerville Road. The collision, which happened around 2:59 PM, led to a vehicle fire and injuries.

Responding officers from the Manchester Township Police Department discovered a 2011 Saab 93 Aero, fully engulfed in flames, which was quickly extinguished by several fire companies. The Saab had collided with a 2020 Ram ProMaster following a failure to yield incident. The Ram, operated by 54-year-old Moussa Traore of Burlington, NJ, also suffered front-end damage and subsequently collided with a 2012 Chrysler.

Traore was transported to Jersey Shore University Hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition. Terry Cain III, the 24-year-old driver of the Saab from Manchester, NJ, was taken to Community Medical Center. Stine Eriksen, the 19-year-old Chrysler driver from Plumsted, NJ, was uninjured.

The scene was attended by multiple emergency services, including paramedics and fire departments. The Manchester Township Police’s Traffic Safety Unit, led by Ptl. Brendan Brush, continues to investigate the crash, citing failure to yield as the primary cause.
