Parma, Ohio — A lucky Ohio Lottery player won $50,000 after purchasing a $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off ticket at Gillombardo Giant Eagle on Snow Road.
The winner will take home approximately $36,000 after state and federal taxes.
The $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off is a $20 game with a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of March 11, three top prizes remain unclaimed.
Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education across the state.
