Ohio mom killed hours before giving birth as unborn baby’s father now charged with double murder

Colerain Township, OH – Just hours before she was set to be induced, 26-year-old India Kinamore was found shot to death inside her home—her life and that of her unborn child ended in what officials now call a planned murder involving the baby’s father and two accomplices.

Police in Colerain Township have arrested Kayvon Warren, 30, Robert Ervin, 20, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, for the March 4, 2023, double homicide. The three are each charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of Kinamore and her unborn baby. Investigators say Warren, the father of the unborn child, allegedly pressured Kinamore to terminate the pregnancy before orchestrating the fatal shooting.

Ervin and Warren were taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center to await arraignment. Suggs is already in state custody on unrelated charges.

Colerain Police responded to the scene on Hiddemeadows Drive around 4:39 a.m. that morning after a report of a person shot. They found Kinamore, a mother of three, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police later confirmed she was in the final stages of pregnancy, preparing to deliver within hours.

The heartbreaking discovery was made by Kinamore’s 6-year-old child, who reportedly found her body and alerted others by saying, “My mommy has been shot.”

The arrests, announced Thursday, follow more than two years of investigation by the department’s Criminal Investigative Unit. Detectives have not publicly revealed the motive beyond Warren’s alleged resistance to the pregnancy.

Kinamore’s death left three children without their mother and sparked widespread community outrage. The Colerain Township Police Department says the case remains active and anyone with additional information is asked to contact their investigative unit at 513-321-2677.
