First responders were dispatched to the 1700 block of Union Boulevard near Quebec Street at approximately 5:05 a.m. after reports of a serious crash. Upon arrival, police, fire, and EMS personnel found a vehicle with severe damage and a single male driver who had suffered critical injuries.

The man, a resident of Allentown, received immediate emergency medical attention at the scene but was pronounced dead shortly after. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Preliminary reports indicate the car was traveling westbound when it left the roadway and collided with the pole. The impact caused significant front-end damage to the vehicle. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash and whether speed, impairment, or other factors played a role.
