Woman wanted after late-night stabbing in Southwest D.C.

Washington, D.C. – Police are searching for a woman in connection with a stabbing that occurred late Monday night in the unit block of Galveston Street SW, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident happened at approximately 11:31 p.m. on January 26. Officers from the 7th District responded to the scene, where a victim was reportedly stabbed. Details on the victim’s condition have not yet been released, and no motive has been disclosed.

The suspect is described as a Black female, heavyset, with pigtails, and was last seen wearing all black clothing. Police have urged the public not to approach the suspect and instead to immediately call 911 with any information referencing Event #I20260036831.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been announced.
