Myrtle Beach, SC – A man was taken to the hospital Friday night after an assault at a hotel along South Ocean Boulevard, according to Myrtle Beach police.
Officers responded around 7:18 p.m. to the Virginian in the 1800 block of South Ocean Boulevard.
One person was detained at the scene as investigators worked to determine what led to the attack.
Victim treated for non-life-threatening injuries
Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Authorities did not release the individual’s name or details about the suspect’s connection to the victim.
An increased law enforcement presence will remain in the area while investigators continue gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Officers were seen canvassing the property and surrounding businesses shortly after the incident.
