Officers responded around 11:02 a.m. to the 1700 block of Pine Island Drive after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found one individual suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police have not released the identity of the victim or any possible suspect information. Investigators remained on scene through the afternoon, canvassing the neighborhood and speaking with witnesses as part of their ongoing probe. Officials confirmed that an increased police presence will remain in the area while detectives work to determine what led to the shooting.
