Queens and Long Island both hit in same TAKE 5 drawing

Lucky tickets land in Astoria and Lynbrook in same-night TAKE 5 sweep

New York, NY — Two tickets sold miles apart in Queens and Nassau County matched all five numbers in the TAKE 5 Evening drawing Wednesday, delivering identical top prizes and placing both retailers on the state’s latest winner list.

According to the New York Lottery, one winning ticket was sold at Ditmars Deli Grocery, located at 23-17 24th Avenue in Astoria, while another was sold at OM Gayatri at 141 Lakeview Avenue in Lynbrook. Each ticket carried a top prize of $15,707.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily, with numbers selected from a pool of one through 39. The Evening drawing, which produced the two winning tickets, is broadcast at 10:30 p.m.

Winners of TAKE 5 prizes have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings through official lottery channels.
