Teen ambushed and beaten with metal pole in Queens robbery
Queens, NY — A 13-year-old boy was attacked in broad daylight by two individuals who beat him with fists and a metal pole before stealing his belongings and fleeing, according to police.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, near the intersection of 153 Street and 89 Avenue. The teen was approached by two unidentified individuals, police said, when one began punching and kicking him while the other struck him with a metal pole.
During the assault, the individuals removed the victim’s backpack and sneakers before fleeing the area. The direction of their escape was not disclosed.
No descriptions of the suspects have been released. The condition of the victim has not been made public.

The case is under investigation, and authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those involved.
