Three Found Guilty of Fatal Ambush in Philadelphia

**PHILADELPHIA, PA** — District Attorney Larry Krasner announced the conviction of Rayfiq Tiggle, Tariq Chambers, and Isaiah Jones for two counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and related firearm charges. The Philadelphia jury found them guilty for the murder of two teenagers in West Philadelphia in 2021.

On June 11, 2021, Tiggle, Chambers, and Jones drove to 55th and Arch Streets in a white Nissan Altima. Nasir Brooks, 17, and Steven Griffin, 18, were ambushed and fatally shot 16 times by Tiggle and Jones as they passed the vehicle. The attackers fled afterward.

A tip led the police to the getaway car within 20 minutes on Olive Street. Surveillance video and cell data confirmed the presence of Tiggle, Chambers, and Jones at the crime scene. Arrests were made in December 2022.

Judge Giovanni Campbell sentenced each to life without parole, plus an additional 20 to 40 years for conspiracy on November 15. District Attorney Krasner thanked the police and prosecuting attorney, Sean Perez, for their efforts in handling the case.

Philadelphia, PA – Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Package Theft Case

The Central Detective Division of Philadelphia is requesting public assistance to identify a suspect captured on video. The individual is involved in multiple package thefts at an apartment building in the 1400 block of North 15th Street.

The suspect entered the building on October 23 and stole tenants’ packages. The suspect reportedly wore United States Postal Service clothing during the thefts.

Authorities describe the suspect as a Black male wearing a blue knit hat with a USPS patch, a blue hooded sweatshirt with a USPS logo, blue pants, and black sneakers. Videos related to this case can be viewed on the Philadelphia Police YouTube Channel and their website.

People are urged not to approach the suspect if seen but to contact 911 immediately. **HARRISBURG, PA** – Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry, alongside the Pennsylvania State Police and New Jersey State Police, announced charges against 20 individuals for alleged cocaine trafficking in the Philadelphia area. Investigators state the group, led by Anthony “Bang” Blake, protected their large-scale drug operation with firearms.

Earlier this month, authorities executed multiple search warrants, which led to the recovery of 20 firearms, 12.5 pounds of cocaine, other drugs, and cash. Warrants were primarily carried out in Philadelphia and New Jersey, assisted by New Jersey State Police. Among those arrested were Kenneth McCall, Tyrone Hayward, and others, while Khalil Rippy, Terrell Brice, and Jonathan Cruz still have active warrants.

All defendants face charges including felony possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, and some with illegal firearms possession. Blake, aged 45, was arraigned with nine felonies related to drug and firearms offenses and received a $500,000 bail.

Attorney General Henry highlighted the removal of a large network of dealers, while Colonel Christopher Paris of the Pennsylvania State Police emphasized their commitment to removing corruption.
