Senior living facility turns into crime scene after fatal shooting

BALTIMORE, M.D. — A 79-year-old man was killed and another victim critically wounded after a shooting inside a senior living facility Thursday morning in Baltimore’s Central District.

Officers responded at approximately 11:07 a.m. to the 100 block of North Central Avenue, where they found two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The 79-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim, a 72-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

SWAT teams conducted a sweep of the building and located the suspect, a 65-year-old male resident of the facility.
