JACKSON, N.J. — A 10-year-old dog named Kali has spent weeks at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, waiting for someone to give her a home.

Despite repeated adoption pleas, Kali has been overlooked, likely due to her age. Staff and volunteers describe her as a sweet and gentle dog who enjoys spa days and remains non-reactive to other animals.

Kali, who is housebroken and easygoing, would do best as the only pet in a quiet home. Shelter workers emphasize that senior dogs deserve loving homes rather than shelter stays.

She is available for adoption at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, located at 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson. The shelter is open daily from 1 to 4 p.m.
