GAITHERSBURG, MD – A six-year-old boy was found fatally wounded inside a Montgomery Village townhome Tuesday afternoon in what investigators have determined was an accidental, self-inflicted shooting.

Officers from the 6th District and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded at approximately 2:45 p.m. to the 10100 block of Maple Leaf Drive for a reported shooting.

When first responders entered the residence, they located Lascelle Lee IV suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face. Life-saving efforts were performed at the scene, but the child was pronounced dead.
