EDGEWOOD, Md. — Harford County Animal Control is asking for the public’s help after two dead dogs were found abandoned inside a metal crate along a walking path in Edgewood.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded Aug. 22 to the area of the 1600 block of Harford Square Drive near J Court after receiving a report of two dead dogs.
Authorities found a medium-sized metal dog crate covered with a brown sheer sheet and a yellow textured plastic sheet. Two small dogs were inside.
One was a male, terrier-type dog with brindle coloring. The other was a tan female, also described as a small terrier type, wearing a multicolored collar with pink clasps.
Animal Control is investigating how the dogs ended up at the location and is trying to identify them and determine where they may have lived.
Authorities have not released information about how the dogs died or how long they may have been at the site.
