SOUTH RIVER, N.J. — The South River Recreation Department will host its annual tree lighting tonight at Dailey’s Pond Park on Prospect Street, beginning at 6:30 p.m., bringing festive cheer and anticipated traffic delays to the area.

The celebration marks the first lighting of the town’s holiday tree and will feature planned activities for attendees. Residents and visitors are encouraged to gather at the park to enjoy the event.

To accommodate the festivities, traffic delays are expected on Prospect Street between William Street and Dailey’s Pond Park from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The South River Police Department has advised motorists to plan ahead and consider alternate routes to avoid the area during this time.

Drivers in the vicinity are urged to exercise caution and be mindful of pedestrians attending the event.
