Stafford County man arrested after deputies find victim with visible injuries

Deputies said a Fredericksburg man admitted pushing the victim after an argument escalated on Warrenton Road.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — A Fredericksburg man was arrested after deputies said an argument turned physical, leaving the victim with visible injuries.

Deputies responded at about 1:31 p.m. on June 30 to the Warrenton Road area for a reported disturbance.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, the victim told deputies an argument escalated when the suspect pushed them. Deputies said they observed visible marks on the victim.

Authorities identified the suspect as 57-year-old Randall Hulburt of Fredericksburg. Deputies said Hulburt admitted pushing the victim.

Hulburt was charged with assault and battery and released on an unsecured bond.

As with all criminal cases, the charge is an accusation, and Hulburt is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
