Gun pulled on subway rider during late night chase through Brooklyn station

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for a subway rider accused of pulling a revolver on a man during a confrontation aboard a Brooklyn-bound train before chasing the victim off the platform late at night.

The incident happened Sunday, April 26, around 11:25 p.m. aboard a southbound “Q” train arriving at the Jay Street subway station, according to NYPD Crime Stoppers.

Investigators said the unidentified suspect became involved in a verbal dispute with a 20-year-old passenger while the train was stopped at the station.

During the argument, police said the suspect displayed a revolver and pointed it directly at the victim.

Authorities said the armed suspect then chased the victim off the stationary train before turning around and reboarding the subway.

The suspect later exited the train at the DeKalb Avenue subway station and fled on foot to an unknown location, according to investigators.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Detectives are continuing to search for the suspect and review evidence connected to the case.
