Myrtle Beach, SC — A late-night stabbing at a business along 3rd Avenue South left one person seriously injured and triggered an active search for a suspect who fled the scene.

Officers responded around 10:10 p.m. Wednesday to the 1100 block of 3rd Avenue South after receiving reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, police located an individual suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been further disclosed.

Authorities said the other person involved fled the area before officers arrived. Police are actively searching for the suspect and have increased patrols in the surrounding area.
