Pennsylvania Woman Arraigned on Multiple Charges Including Arson

**Surf City, NJ -** Juliette Tournier, 29, from Montgomery, Pennsylvania, has been charged with Aggravated Arson in relation to a February 19 incident in Surf City. This follows prior charges in Ship Bottom on February 20 for Eluding and Receiving Stolen Property.

On February 19 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Surf City emergency services responded to a fire on North Central Avenue. During firefighting efforts, a firefighter was injured, treated at Southern Ocean Medical Center, and discharged.

Investigations by various agencies revealed two fire origins within the structure, both initiated by open flames to ignitable liquids. Concurrently, a vehicle stop initiated by Ship Bottom Police involving a Honda HRV led to Tournier’s identification as the suspect, with the car’s license plate stolen earlier from a similar vehicle in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

On February 25, Tournier received an Aggravated Arson charge. She surrendered to Surf City Police the next day and remains detained pending a hearing. Authorities emphasize that all accused individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
