Uniontown Man Sentenced for Crimes Against Minor via Social Media
**HARRISBURG, PA** – Attorney General Dave Sunday announced a prison sentence for Derek Allen Reed, a Fayette County resident, for his criminal activities involving a minor. Reed, 35, of Uniontown, has been sentenced to five to 15 years for contacting a young girl on social media, sending her inappropriate images, and attempting to meet her for a sexual encounter.
Reed was apprehended at the arranged meeting location in June 2023. In November, he admitted guilt to several felony charges, including unlawful contact with a minor and distributing explicit material to a minor.
After serving his prison term and parole, Reed will undergo five years of probation. Additionally, he is required to register as a sex offender for 25 years under the law.
Attorney General Sunday remarked on the case, highlighting the risks of social media misuse by predators. Senior Deputy Attorney General Angela Raver led the prosecution against Reed. Reed had initially met the 15-year-old victim at an ex-girlfriend’s home and later communicated with her on platforms like Facebook and Snapchat.

Griffin was in his Range Rover near 41st Street and 30th Avenue when Hannah and an accomplice reportedly entered the vehicle and demanded personal items before shooting Griffin as he attempted to flee.
Hannah, 26, has been charged with a total of 22 counts, including multiple counts of murder, robbery, attempted robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon. Queens Supreme Court Justice Michael Aloise remanded Hannah and scheduled his next court appearance for April 30. If convicted, Hannah could face life imprisonment without parole.
On April 18, 2021, at approximately 10 p.m., Griffin was parked in front of 40-13 30th Avenue. After being approached by a Jeep Grand Cherokee and subsequently by Hannah and an accomplice, Griffin was shot twice as he tried to drive away and later died at the hospital.

Myrtle Beach Man Given 10-Year Sentence for Drug Trafficking
**Conway, SC** – Jarrell Grant, a 50-year-old resident of Myrtle Beach, was sentenced on Monday for his involvement in a 2023 drug trafficking case. He pleaded guilty to multiple charges including trafficking cocaine; possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and heroin; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and failure to stop for a blue light.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant Solicitor Brandon R. Lanier from the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office. Circuit Court Judge Alex Hyman sentenced Grant to 10 years in prison. The sentences for the charges reflect their nature, with some carrying penalties ranging from five to 30 years, making Grant ineligible for parole due to the serious and violent nature of the cocaine trafficking charge.
The charges originated from a search warrant executed at Grant’s residence following a drug trafficking investigation. Detectives discovered packaged narcotics and a firearm, the possession of which is illegal for Grant. After attempting to flee from authorities, he was eventually apprehended. His previous conviction for trafficking crack cocaine resulted in enhanced charges.
Assistant Solicitor Lanier acknowledged the efforts of the Myrtle Beach Police Department, particularly the
