Teen girl vanishes in Maryland as police launch urgent search for missing 15-year-old

Detectives ask public for help locating Burtonsville teenager last seen near Greencastle and Robey roads

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Montgomery County detectives are urgently searching for a missing 15-year-old girl who disappeared last week in Burtonsville.

Police identified the missing teen as Alexa Guardado.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Police Special Victims Investigations Division, Alexa was last seen around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday near Greencastle Road and Robey Road in Burtonsville.

Detectives described Alexa as standing 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds.

She has dyed blond and pink hair, brown eyes and braces with light blue bands.

Police said Alexa was last seen wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and white sweatpants.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about Alexa’s whereabouts to contact Montgomery County police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
