WASHINGTON, D.C. – A teen was wounded in a shooting near the Deanwood Recreation Center, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department.
The incident occurred shortly before 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the 1300 block of 49th Street in Northeast D.C. The teen was conscious and breathing upon being transported to the hospital.
As of now, investigators have neither suspects nor motives. The case remains open and under investigation.
