Three suspects arrested in connection with armed carjacking in Dorchester

December 17, 2025

BOSTON, MA – Three suspects, including a juvenile, have been arrested following an armed carjacking in Dorchester, according to an update released by the Boston Police Department.

At about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force, working with the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit and Transit Police, arrested a 17-year-old male on Abbotsford Street. The juvenile was wanted on a warrant issued out of Boston Juvenile Court for armed carjacking, carrying a firearm without a license, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, larceny over $1,200, and conspiracy. Detectives secured the apartment pending a search warrant.

While officers were arresting the juvenile, a second suspect began recording the scene and taunting police. Investigators quickly identified him as another participant in the carjacking and placed him under arrest. The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Aamir Sylvia of Dorchester, faces charges of armed carjacking, threat to commit a crime, and conspiracy. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

Earlier that morning, Transit Police officers located a third suspect, 20-year-old Atiana Suazo of Dorchester, near the Ashmont Station. She was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

Police said the investigation into the carjacking remains active.
