Towson, MD — A Baltimore County employee suffered a gunshot graze wound early Saturday after a suspect opened fire during an armed robbery on Loch Raven Boulevard, according to Baltimore County Police.

Officers responded around 2 a.m. to the 8500 block of Loch Raven Boulevard in Towson after receiving reports of an armed robbery, police said. When officers arrived, they found an adult male employee injured in the abdomen area following the confrontation.

Investigators said the suspect discharged a firearm during the robbery, grazing the victim in the upper body before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, according to Baltimore County Police.

Gunfire Escalated Overnight Robbery

Detectives said the shooting happened during the course of the robbery, though police have not released details about the business involved or what property may have been taken.

The victim’s injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
