ABERDEEN, N.J. – A transformer fire on State Highway 34 has caused power outages and traffic disruptions in the Strathmore area. Officers are directing traffic at both the South Atlantic Avenue and Cambridge Drive intersections.

Utility provider JCP&L has been contacted and is on the scene assessing the situation. The extent of the damage and estimated repair time remain unclear.

Dispatch has received multiple reports of power outages affecting various sections of Strathmore. Officials have not provided a timeline for full restoration.

Lloyd Road and Cambridge Park Schools have implemented delayed opening schedules in response to the outages.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation as crews work to restore power and ensure public safety.
