One dead, two injured in triple shooting on Patapsco Avenue in South Baltimore

Baltimore, MD — A man is dead and two others are recovering from gunshot wounds after a triple shooting rocked the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Avenue in South Baltimore late Wednesday night.

Southern District officers responded to reports of gunfire just after 9:30 p.m. on January 15, 2026. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two additional victims — a 24-year-old man and a 38-year-old man — were also found nearby, each with at least one gunshot wound. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation and are working to identify the deceased and determine a motive. No arrests have been announced, and officials have not said whether the victims were targeted or if the shooting was random.
