Two juveniles arrested following bomb threat at Allentown high school

ALLENTOWN, PA — Two 14-year-old boys from Allentown have been charged with making terroristic threats at William Allen High School on Thursday morning. The Allentown Police Department, along with the Allentown Fire Department and Allentown EMS, responded to the school at approximately 11:29 AM.

The incident began when a report of a bomb threat prompted immediate lockdown procedures at the school. School officials engaged with the Allentown School District to ensure safety protocols were followed. Parents received notifications of the lockdown through school messaging channels.

A thorough search of the building and surrounding grounds yielded no explosive devices. Authorities managed to identify and locate the two juvenile suspects involved in the incident.

Both boys have been charged with making terroristic threats, classified as a felony of the third degree. The investigation remains ongoing, although officials indicate there is no immediate threat to the community.

As with all criminal charges, the individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

This incident serves as a reminder of the heightened awareness surrounding school safety protocols amid recent national trends.
