Police continue investigating what caused the collision.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — A 71-year-old Upper Marlboro man has died from injuries he suffered in a single-vehicle crash more than a month after the collision, Prince George’s County police said.

The victim was identified as Thomas Garner 3rd, 71, of Upper Marlboro.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, officers responded at approximately 12:30 p.m. on June 5 to the area of Croom Road and West End Farm Road for a reported single-vehicle crash.

Garner, who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to a hospital following the crash.

Police said he died from his injuries on July 18.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera or home surveillance footage that may have captured the incident to contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422 and reference case number 26-0029909.
