Violent scooter attack leaves 68 year old man injured in Brooklyn

A verbal argument on a Brooklyn street turned violent when a man allegedly grabbed a scooter and repeatedly struck a 68-year-old victim in the head before fleeing, police said.

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of attacking a 68-year-old man with a Razor scooter in Brooklyn.

According to the NYPD, the assault occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on July 8 in front of 1344 Lincoln Place.

Police said the victim and an unidentified individual became involved in a verbal dispute.

During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly grabbed a Razor scooter and struck the 68-year-old man multiple times in the head.

The suspect then fled on foot, traveling west on Lincoln Place toward Schenectady Avenue.

Police have not released information about the victim’s condition.
