Wildwood’s historic Woolworth building and Randyland site listed for $8 million

Wildwood, NJ – If these walls could talk, oh the story they would tell. Well, they don’t have to because the owner of this building is more than willing, most of the time, to tell his guests the stories behind this unique Jersey Shore oddity which holds a very special place in the hearts of many at the Jersey Shore, but they don’t even know it.

Inside, lies one of the biggest amusement collections of Jersey Shore history and Americana. It was supposed to be a museum, but legal difficulties between the owner and the city never allowed it to happen. Now, it’s for sale.

One of the most recognizable buildings on Pacific Avenue, known locally as the home of Randyland, is now on the market for $7,999,000, offering investors or developers a once-in-a-generation chance to own a piece of Wildwood history. The property, located at 3210 Pacific Avenue, spans 20,000 square feet across two stories and sits just two blocks from the beach and steps from Wildwood’s bustling boardwalk and amusement piers.

Originally constructed in 1930, the building once housed an F.W. Woolworth five-and-dime store, serving as a downtown retail anchor during Wildwood’s mid-century heyday. After years of vacancy, it was purchased in 1999 by New Jersey native and amusement collector Randy Senna, who transformed it into Randyland, a private museum and storage space dedicated to preserving the nostalgia of the Jersey Shore.

Senna’s acquisition turned the long-empty Woolworth property into a living time capsule. Over the past four decades, he has amassed and maintained thousands of vintage arcade games, wooden Skee-Ball machines, pinball units, and mid-century boardwalk memorabilia. His vision was to create an arcade museum celebrating the history of amusement culture in Wildwood and beyond. Though generally not open to the public, the building has become an unofficial landmark — a symbol of the Shore’s playful past.

Randyland gained national recognition after appearing on a 2011 episode of the TV series Hoarders, which showcased the densely packed interior and Senna’s devotion to collecting and preserving mechanical Americana. Today, the building still features its original 1930s façade, with windows filled to the brim with vintage games, signage, and historical treasures from a bygone era.

From Woolworth’s to Wildwood nostalgia: a rare redevelopment site

While the property’s listing positions it as a prime redevelopment opportunity within the Pacific Avenue Redevelopment Zone (PARZ), it carries a deep connection to Wildwood’s cultural fabric. In addition to his private collection at Randyland, Senna operates a vintage amusement arcade and runs the last remaining operating Lucky’s Fascination game on the Wildwood Boardwalk — a mechanical gambling-style attraction once found in seaside arcades across the East Coast.

Now part of both the city’s redevelopment district and a federally designated Opportunity Zone, the 0.25-acre property presents a unique balance of historic character and investment potential. It stands as one of the few remaining links to Wildwood’s commercial golden age while offering modern developers the scale and zoning flexibility to reimagine its next chapter.
