Jersey Cash 5 jackpot hit in Bergen County as Fair Lawn ticket claims nearly $1M

TRENTON, NJ – A single Jersey Cash 5 ticket purchased during a routine grocery stop in Bergen County turned into a near–million-dollar payday after matching all five numbers in Thursday night’s drawing, securing half of a jackpot worth almost $2 million.

The New Jersey Lottery confirmed the ticket matched all five winning numbers in the Jersey Cash 5 drawing, earning a $987,480 prize as part of a split jackpot totaling $1,974,960. The drawing marked the fourth time the game’s top prize has been won this year.

The winning numbers were 08, 10, 16, 33, and 43. The Bullseye number was 16, and the XTRA number was 02.

The Bergen County ticket was sold at Shop Rite #116, located at 22-00 Maple Ave. in Fair Lawn. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

In addition to the jackpot result, 49 players statewide matched four of the five numbers and the Bullseye, each winning $500. Thirteen of those players doubled their winnings to $1,000 by purchasing the XTRA option.
