Police seek vehicle in late night hit and run on Academy Street

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A late-night crash on Academy Street has left investigators searching for a vehicle that fled the scene, and Wilkes-Barre City Police are now asking the public for help identifying the driver involved.

The hit and run occurred Sunday at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Academy Street, according to a notice posted by the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.

Police said the vehicle in question was seen splitting between two other vehicles at the time of the crash. Authorities did not release a description of the driver but are seeking assistance in identifying the vehicle involved.

No additional details about injuries or damage were immediately released.
