Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department has apprehended a juvenile suspect following an armed robbery incident in Southeast Washington. This arrest marks a significant development in the fight against local crime.
On Friday afternoon, officers from the First District were dispatched to the 900 block of First Street, Southeast, in response to a reported armed robbery. The victim, after parking her vehicle, was followed and then confronted by the suspects, who forcibly took her cell phone. It was reported that one of the culprits brandished a gun during the robbery before they both made their escape.
A subsequent search of the vicinity by police officers led to the capture of one of the suspects and the recovery of a pellet gun. The investigation culminated in the charging of a 13-year-old male from Southeast with Armed Robbery and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
