JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Sunday, Jackson Police officers arrested two Browns Mills men for stealing a catalytic converter from a vehicle on Monmouth Road.

According to Jackson Police Officer David DeJesus, the victims reported that they were not at home when they received an alert from their security camera system that someone was on their property.

“Two male suspects were observed by the victim’s vehicles and in their yard and when they used the security system to call out to them, the suspects became aware of the cameras and left. The victims were arriving home just as the suspects were pulling out of the driveway and they were able to obtain the license plate of the suspect vehicle,” police said. “They got the vehicle to stop and also spoke with the suspects who claimed they were interested in purchasing the vehicle.”
