NEW YORK, NY – An Asian woman was assaulted Tuesday morning when she was approached by a man who shouted ethnic slurs at her before assaulting her.
The incident happened in front of 431 West 16th Street in Manhattan when an individual approached a 57-year-old female victim and made anti-Asian statements. He then kicked her in the hip and fled the scene.
The New York City Police Department is investigating the attack as a hate crime.
