Utica Woman Charged with Grand Larceny Over $13,000 Forged Check

UTICA, NY – Police in Utica have made an arrest in a case involving check fraud. According to police, officers were notified of a stolen check that had been fraudulently signed and cashed at a local bank.

The check totaled over $13,000. As a result of the total stolen, an investigator with the Criminal Investigations Division was assigned the case and was ultimately able to make an arrest. On August 3rd, 2022 Mya Colon of Utica was charged with Grand Larceny in the third degree.
