Newark Police Searching for Suspects Who Beat Victim with Pipe, Glass Bottles

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Police are searching for suspects wanted for a vicious assault against a victim on Thursday.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the male suspect in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Thursday.

Police said that just before 7:45 p.m., the suspect and two other suspects used a metal pipe and glass bottles to assault a victim in the 100 block of Brunswick Street.

“The three suspects then fled in a black Honda heading southbound on Brunswick Street,” police said. “Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying this suspect as part of their investigation.”

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
