Parsippany Police Police Offer Active Threat Education to Community

by Your News

PARSIPPANY, NJ – With the support of Mayor James R. Barberio, the Parsippany Police Department’s Community Relations Officer presents numerous presentations throughout the year on various topics from safety to crime prevention. One of the more frequently sought-after topics is our Active Shooter presentation. Recently, Community Relations Officer Remo D’Alessandro conducted a presentation at PNY Technologies. The presentation discusses the Run – Hide – Fight response paradigm developed by the Department of Homeland Security.

Officer D’Alessandro discusses the breakdown of each response in detail by offering options to consider to decrease one’s chances of becoming a victim if they find themselves in an active threat situation. This presentation is usually accompanied by a Security Assessment of the facility.

If you are a Parsippany-based business, group or House of Worship and interested in receiving these free services, please contact Officer D’Alessandro at [email protected]
