PATERSON, NJ – On Sunday, September 18th, 2022, at approximately 5 pm, Ceasefire detectives Ibraaheem Yanes and Johan Suarez were working the 2022 Dominican Day Parade when they observed a male riding on a moped armed with a handgun and the corners of Park Ave and Carroll Street. Upon seeing this, the detectives attempted to arrest the suspect, who fled on foot but was eventually captured at the intersection of Park Ave and Summer Street.
