Hudson County High School official charged for child luring

Harrison, NJ- A team at Saint Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark has been charged after attempting to lure a teenager into an inappropriate relationship in Harrison.

Didier Jean-Baptiste, 54, of Jersey City serves as dean of seniors at the high school. He was charged with one count of attempted luring and attempted endangering the welfare of a child.

Quincy police, Jean-Baptiste arranged to meet an individual who he knew to be a minor to meet him for sex in nearby Harrison. Police specified that the victim was not a student at the school.

He was arrested and transported to the Harrison Police Department, where he was later released on a summons, courtesy of the New Jersey Bail Reform Act and Criminal Justice Reform.
