BROOKLYN, MD – Police in Anne Arundel County are investigating after a Brooklyn home was shot Thursday night. At around 6 am, officers responded to a home on the 5300 block of Disney Avenue on the report of a shot fired in the area overnight.

Occupants inside the home told police they heard what they believed to be a gunshot and a speeding vehicle outside of their residence.

“The victim was not physically injured during the incident and was unaware that a projectile had struck their home,” police said. “The victim went on to say that when they awoke on Friday, they noticed a hole in the wall of their living room and believed that a projectile had penetrated the exterior and interior wall of their home.”

Police later located a shell casing outside the home.
