34-year-old shot and killed in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC – A 34-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday night in Northeast D.C.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the shooting that happened in the 1500 block of Anacostia Avenue, Northeast.

Upon their arrival, 34-year-old Rynell Bradford was found dead by responding police officers.

“At approximately 9:41 pm, Sixth District officers responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting,” D.C. Metro Police Department detectives said. “Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.”
